COMMON SENSE VALUES, Protecting your freedoms
Born and raised in Pueblo, Daneya Esgar is the proud granddaughter of steelworkers, a product of Pueblo School District 60, a proud South Colt, and a graduate of Colorado State University — Pueblo. She has worked as a television news producer, in higher education, and as a community organizer focusing on poverty and fighting homelessness in Pueblo. She is known for her work on protecting our water, women's reproductive rights, and supporting our deputies and first responders.
Protecting Women's Reproductive Rights
Daneya ran the bill to enshrine women's reproductive rights in Colorado. She knows that women's health rights are under attack by extremists here in Pueblo and she will never back down fighting to protect your personal freedoms!
WATER
Water is vital to Pueblo county — it's essential to our farmers, families, and our future. Daneya Esgar will prioritize the conservation of the Arkansas River to safeguard our chile farmers and cattle ranchers, and ensure clean, accessible water for every Puebloan.
SAFETY
Daneya Esgar understands that everyone in our community deserves a safe place to live. That's why she supports our Sheriff's deputies who are working on the front lines. Esgar is committed to improving public safety so every resident feels secure in our community.
HOUSING
Daneya Esgar understands that Pueblo County families need housing that is affordable. In the state legislature, she passed policies to reduce the cost to own or rent a home. As County Commissioner, Esgar will continue to fight to ensure that every resident in Pueblo can afford a good place to live.
GROWING OUR LOCAL ECONOMY
Daneya Esgar is working to create good-paying jobs that benefit every family in Pueblo County. She’s a champion for small businesses and supports our farmers. By focusing on economic growth and job creation, she will help build a stronger Pueblo where everyone can earn a good living and thrive.
FIGHT HOMELESSNESS
Daneya Esgar will help get people who are homeless off the street and into housing with mental health treatment, drug rehabilitation, and job training programs so they can rebuild their lives.
